Ann Curry

Ann Curry is an American photographer and journalist. She has been a reporter for over 45 years focused on human suffering in the aftermath of natural catastrophes and war zones. Curry has covered wars across the globe, including Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry (born on November 19, 1956 in the city of Agana) is an American TV anchor, reporter as well as a journalist. Curry was best known for being a correspondent of The Today Show, a daily morning newscast produced by the National Broadcasting Co. Curry is well-known for her reporting of emergencies and disasters that affect the human condition particularly in nations that have been devastated by the war. Curry's father was a naval officer with the U.S. Navy and her mother was Japanese. Her mother was working with the father of her parents in Japan following World War II. In the wake of her father's involvement as a military officer and the frequent moves they made. Curry completed high school within Ashland Oregon. When she graduated from University of Oregon, Curry earned a bachelor of journalism degree in the year 1978. Her exposure to different cultures and experiences during her upbringing may have influenced her empathy way of communicating on issues of international significance. Curry traveled a lot with her partner but she did not attend an institution for more than two or three years. She went to schools located in San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia. In the end, she was able to graduate from Ashland High School. In the role of an intern at KTVL Channel 10 Medford, Oregan, she began her journey as a broadcaster. She became the first woman anchor for the station at aged 22. Later, she moved into the position of an anchor as well as reporter at KGW an NBC affiliate in Portland, Oregan. She moved back in Los Angeles four years later working as a journalist at KCBS TV. The two Emmy Awards were won during her time with the KCBS-TV.
